• Relaunched School Council
  Just to let you know that we have relaunched a new School Council; the children have been proudly wearing their School Council badges for a while now.
• Parents Day: Monday 16 October 2017
  Parents day for ALL CHILDREN will be held on Monday 16 October 2017. Appointments will be available from 9.00am to 5.15pm and will be 15 minutes long. Request forms have been sent home and are also on the 'latest letters' of this website.
• Parent Governor Nomination/Election 2017
  The governing body of the school has a vacancy for a parent governor. The closing date is 10am, Wednesday 11 October 2017, for nominations. If more than one nomination is received then a ballot will ensue shortly after that date.
• BBC Children in Need Fundraising Event W/C 13 November 2017
  We are making Mattersey 'Spotacular' this year by holding several fundraising events to help raise awareness and change the lives of disadvantaged children living throughout the UK.
• Operation Christmas Child Appeal 2017
  We are collecting shoe boxes to donate towards the Samaritan's Operation Christmas Child again this year. The last day to bring in your shoe box into school is Friday 10 November 2017.
• Elizabethan Academy Open Evening
  Wednesday 4 October 2017, 5pm to 7.30pm (see below for more information)
• Story Telling Assembly: Thursday 5 October 2017, 2.45pm
  The children will be taking part in a Story Telling Assembly (all day) as part of their work with Retford Library.
• Harvest Festival in Church
  Our Harvest Festival will be celebrated in Church from 2.15pm on Wednesday 4 October 2017. Everyone is welcome to come and join us. We will be taking donations of (non-perishable) food items in school, so please do support us.
• School Photographer
  Don't forget our school photographer is in school first thing on Monday morning (25 Sept). He can also take family portraits as well as siblings.
